Milestone Inspections
Structural Recertification of Multi-Family Building
Concrete spalling, corrosion-related staining, and deterioration were observed at an aging multi-family property undergoing its required building recertification. We performed a detailed structural condition assessment, documented and mapped the observed deficiencies, and provided the association with a signed and sealed recertification report and prioritized repair recommendations to support planning and corrective work.

Bridge Structural Evaluation — Vero Beach, FL
Section loss at bearing locations, deck cracking, and other signs of deterioration raised concerns regarding the bridge’s structural condition and continued service. We evaluated the existing load path and structural components, performed engineering analyses to assess capacity and observed deficiencies, and developed recommendations for load restrictions and a phased rehabilitation program.

Decades of coastal exposure contributed to corrosion-related deterioration at slab edges and columns. Through floor-by-floor inspection, concrete sounding, and structural evaluation, we distinguished superficial distress from deterioration affecting reinforcement and the load-carrying performance of structural components.

The property owner and insurance carrier disputed the nature and extent of storm-related damage. We documented the observed damage patterns, evaluated uplift connections and relevant failure surfaces, and applied engineering analysis to distinguish conditions consistent with the reported storm event from pre-existing deterioration, construction-related conditions, and other potential causes.

We assessed the nature and extent of the damage, evaluated the component’s remaining structural capacity, established temporary stabilization or shoring requirements where necessary, and developed signed and sealed repair details to restore the required structural performance.
